Research is well underway for a biography of Charles Sims. Sims, a Harrisonville lawyer, served in the Missouri General Assembly from 1848 to 1858, and in 1856 was a candidate for Lt. Governor. Had Sims not pulled out of the race he would have become Missouri's Governor.

Tom has completed a Jackson County, Missouri database. The database contains key information from the 1850 and 1860 censuses. If you have Jackson County stories for the period 1840 to 1870 please forward them.
